If you are interested in walking and hiking Ballyduff Village is ideally located as your starting point.

To the east there is Camolin Forest Park & the Millennium Forest and to the North-West are the Coillte forests surrounding the beautiful Sliabh Bui Mountain area. We have included a circular walk through the Coillte forest in Camolin Park which brings you past the Coillte Millennium forest. The walk is just over 4km long and should take less than two hours at a leisurely pace.

IMPORTANT:

Please note that this circular walk is not marked and and some of the trails are rough underfoot. Therefore you should not attempt to walk them alone. You should also tell someone the route you intend to take and when you intend to return, Also bring a fully charged mobile phone, water and some snacks, just in case. If at any stage you are unsure of the direction you are taking retrace your steps.
